The Bride was STUNNING & the Wedding was AMAZING!

I like how Kate included alot of similar details from her late Mother-in-law's wedding.  There were some things that I noticed that just made me love Will & Kate even more.  Prince William put his bride on a pedestal.  You can tell the love, excitement, and genuine interest he has in his lady.  He waited so patiently for her to arrive to the alter.  When he finally laid eyes on Kate, I saw him whisper "You look beautiful," to her.  His cheeks were red and he had a pleasing smile on his face.  His eyes literally lit up with excitement.  He was finally marrying his friend, his love, his better half.  I love the way he handled her after the ceremony.  It looked as if he made sure the day was all about her, their marriage, and new beginning.  He grew up in the lime light and he presented her as to say, it is her time to shine.  Every detail was breathtaking.  I noticed that their were minimal decor in the church, but the greenery was amazing.  The church speaks volumes for itself and it is very fitting for a royal couple.

I do believe that Lady Diana is smiling down on her sons today.  I am sure she would have been very happy with Prince William's selection.  Princess Kate has some large shoes to fill following in Lady Di's footsteps, but truly, I don't believe she will have a problem winning the hearts of many.  

The ROYAL Wedding...A Real Fairytale

  Prince William, the first born son of Prince Charles and the late Lady Diana, wedded Princess Kate formerly known as Kate Middleton this morning (5AM US time). 

I was just a toddler when Lady Di married Prince Charles.  But oh how I remember the details.  The dress, the veil, and the beautiful bouquet.  Let me not forget, the horse carriage, the crown, and the people...did I mention the people?  Today's wedding was even more stunning.  Even though her dress was not as long or wide and her bouquet was small, Princess Kate looked absolutely graceful and beautiful. 

Much like her mother-in-laws wedding, Princess Kate chose to have mini bridesmaids (much like flowergirls) and paiges.  Her sister served as her Maid of Honor and her dress was breathtaking.  I love the way she handled her sister on her beautiful day.

We always dream of a fairytale wedding.  I definitely witnessed one today.

POSHGirl Model Search

Posh Girl Couture is on the search for new faces to represent Posh Girl Couture for the year of 2011!  We need girls between the ages of 4 to 16 to participate in our photoshoots and fashion shows.  Our models will be featured on our websites, magazine flyers, and more.  PGC is an online boutique not a modeling agency.  However, we network with some of the best agencies that we would love to refer our POSHPrincesses to.

Your participation will be volunteer services only, but we hope we can help you to build your portfolio towards your future modeling goals.  At this time, we ask for local candidates in the Galveston and Harris County areas.  For more information, please contact Michaelle S. via email at poshgirlcouture@gmail.com.  We will be accepting applications and photos starting Monday, March 14, 2011.  Lets make this FABULOUS!

STEP Aside BARBIE!

There is not a girl that I know that did not own at least one Barbie.  Growing up we pretended that our lives would be much like Barbie.  From her Posh three story house to her pink Corvette, Miss Thing had it ALL!  I had a chance to play with my moms Barbie's.  Yes, she had a few of the originals.  If I knew what I knew now and would have kept them in good condition, I would have had a glamorous collection of vintage and present Barbie's. 

Good girls with DIVA attitudes is probably one of the best ways to describe our tween girls today.  Instead of trying to be like Barbie, they walk, talk, and dress as if they are Barbie.  Because Barbie is an all time favorite and is one of the most POSH dolls around the world, we had to include her in our POSH GIRL COUTURE collection.  You can find her girly designs in our Posh PersonaliTEE collection, both embroidery and bling. 

PGC is all about being Pink Carpet Ready from head to toe so we had to include the Barbie bling toe sneakers...a must to complete the perfect outit!

For us HAUTE Mama's, varies designers know that we have not lost our touch with a few of our childish ways.  Deep down inside, we are still trying to live the lavish lifestyle of our dear friend Barbie.  Here are a few of my favorite PInk and POSH Barbie things!

What's the 411...You asked for it!

After posting my daughter's POSH Juicy Cutie themed party, MANY have inquired about POSHParties, PaperDoll Designs, and information on HOW they can have a nice theme party such as this. THANK YOU very much your emails and compliments...HOW EXCITING! So, you asked, and now I am going to give you the 411.

Posh Parties for Tots & Teens was created by ME in 2005 after leaving 5 years in the medical field. I have ALWAYS enjoyed planning over the top parties for my little ones. Birthday parties would come and go, so I would have Christmas, New Years, Valentines Day, Out of School, and Back to School parties (LOL)! We would even make up reasons to have a party. So after learning more about wedding/event planning and receiving my certification, I proudly became a wedding and special events planner!

PaperDoll Designs is my little hobby that I enjoy the most. Designing unique and original invitations for any special ocassion is very exciting. I have designed and created invites for adult and children birthday parties, informal and formal weddings, anniversaries, showers, and school related events. I also enjoy designing the event stationary such as place cards, programs, event itineraries, save the dates, favor tags, gift bags, and more. Speaking of gift bags, PaperDoll Designs will design and create theme favors for your event as well. The invitations that I used for the Juicy Cutie party were blanks purchased from Hobby Lobby. Of course I added a few EXTRA's to make it more personal for the BDay girl! I normally DO NOT do paper plates for any of my events, but the plates were just the right color and coordinated well with the theme.

More about the Decor:
The color scheme was pink and chocolate. Juicy Couture signature color is pink, but they design in so many girly colors. Choose the colors that represent your birthday honoree the best. Along with the pink and chocolate I added a touch of antique gold. The gold touches made it more glitsy and fabulous...the words my POSHGirls always like to use! Do not go over board with your accent color...it is what it is;-) I used pink satin chaircovers and table linens with chocolate sashes that I tied around each chair. Our main tablescape consisted of pink and chocolate place mats that were 12x12 sheets of scrapbooking paper. I placed the theme paper plates on top of my antique gold charger plates and used clear fluted glasses for the guests drinks. The dinner menu's were created on pink and chocolate paper and placed in gold picture frames.  The menu's were changed for breakfast the next morning.  For a bold personal centerpiece and to show off our love for JC, I purchased antique gold wall letters in the initials of the BDay girl. The guests main favor bags which were actual JC shopping bags were placed in the chairs of each guests. Inside was a JC starter charm bracelet and a pink party t-shirt that was designed for the theme of the party.  Of course, have plenty of balloons for filler decor, from the floor on up!

SWEETS & TREATS
An AWESOME way that you can bring out the main colors of your event is a candy or sweets buffet. I used pink bubble game machines filled with candy, cotton candy, cookies, pretzels, marshmallows, and strawberries that went very well with the pink chocolate fondue....YUM!  I made a pink cherry limeade that our guests received from a very fun punch fountain.  I highly recommend Glamour Avenue Parties in Houston to do your candy buffets...THEY ARE FABULOUS! 

I really enjoyed this party, not because it was my daughter's but because it represented her to the fullest.  She is a huge JC fan and still girly girl enough to LOVE PINK!
